While the Gundam SEED series was getting HG releases almost exclusively for Gundam-type kits, the Mobile CGUE became the second non-Gundam type to get the HG treatment, following the Mobile Ginn. Compared to the very mass-production-feel of the Mobile Ginn, the Mobile CGUE has more of an officer's unit vibe to its design.

The complex color combinations on the head and torso are pulled off almost perfectly through parts separation alone. The seals also do a solid job of covering the areas where the molded colors fall a bit short.

Articulation is above average, allowing for a good variety of action poses. Looking at the ankles and a few other spots, it does feel like it's a step behind the Mobile Ginn in terms of articulation — but the slimmer build actually makes it easier to get poses to look good. The joints are nice and stiff throughout with no looseness anywhere, so you can lock it into all kinds of action poses without any trouble.

Like the Mobile Ginn, a blade is included, and I painted just that part. The blade design itself looks decent enough, but the problem is it doesn't sit well in the hand Even when you plug it into the hand's hole, it doesn't stay put and just flops around at an angle.
