SEED's four-legged beast, the Mobile BuCue, has been released as an HG kit. The Cerberus BuCue Hound — a black repaint — actually came out before this original unit, but aside from the weapons, head, and part of the chest, the basic body construction is the same between the two.
So the articulation and joint characteristics are identical, with the same leg gimmicks and tank treads as the Cerberus BuCue Hound. The biggest difference is the head design — the Mobile BuCue's signature look is that mouth holding a beam saber. As for back-mounted weapons, you get both a missile pod and a rail gun, and you can choose which one to attach.
The basic color separation and seal placement are done pretty well, so even a straight straight build looks quite nice — the missile pod in particular stands out, with all those red missile heads fully color-separated. Thanks to its fairly flexible articulation, you can pull off all sorts of natural-looking animal-like(?) poses, and you can even display it in a mid-air jumping pose using the stand mounting hole on the belly. The two beam sabers can be plugged into either side of the beam saber handle in the mouth, which honestly looks just like a dog trotting along with a bone ^^;
Anyway, just like the Cerberus BuCue Hound, the waist joint feels a bit loose, but overall it's a solid four-legged mecha kit. If you're getting a little tired of humanoid mecha, building one of these beast-type Gunpla every now and then isn't a bad idea at all :-)
