The Mobile CGUE from Gundam SEED got a variation release as part of the SEED Frame Astray series, this time as Xist's personal unit in red. The kit structure is 100% identical to the original — the only change is the molded color switching from gray to red.

Other than one extra seals sheet thrown in as befits an MSV release, this is a pure color variant kit through and through, so there's not a whole lot to look at beyond the color difference. That said, being a red unit, it does somehow give off that "three times faster" vibe. ^^;

At its core, this is one of the better SEED HG kits alongside the Mobile Jinn, with surprisingly refined parts separation that you wouldn't normally expect from an HG. Articulation is nothing special, but the overall design looks great so it strikes nice poses without much trouble, and the joint strength is solid enough that holding those poses isn't an issue.

Sure, it's a pretty obscure variation of a niche unit, but the base kit quality is genuinely good — so if you're interested, it's definitely worth a fun build. :-)
