One of the standout features of the 1/100 Freedom Gundam is that the large wings on its back are relatively lightweight, so it stands upright and holds poses well regardless of joint strength. Sure, the proportions are a bit stubby and the detail is on the simpler side — as you'd expect from a No Grade kit — but it's honestly one of the better offerings in the No Grade lineup.

Even though it's just a color swap, the Deactive mode color scheme genuinely gives off a surprisingly different vibe — something weightier and more subdued, if that makes sense. The MG Aile Strike got a Deactive mode release, so it's a little disappointing that the MG Freedom never did. Still, this is a solid enough limited edition for what it is. :-)
