Buster Gundam Remaster Ver.

Kit Review

Straight build

The third HG Remaster release is the Buster Gundam. The overall concept is the same as the previous releases — like the HG Aile, it comes with Joint Parts A for a display stand, along with some minor molded color changes and added seals.

Even when compared side by side with the original, the color difference isn't exactly striking. That's probably because the dark green and orange parts are identical to the original. That said, the base ivory armor color is a touch brighter, and just like the previous releases, the joints and weapons have been switched to metallic colors, giving the kit a slightly crisper, more vivid look overall.

As with the other HG Remaster versions, the joints molded in metallic color are noticeably sturdier, which means poses hold much better than on the original — and that's something I really appreciate. Since this is a kit that really shines in powerful firing poses with its big weapons, the improved joint strength makes an even bigger difference here.

All in all, it's a slightly higher-quality kit than the original, and definitely one that fans who prefer a sharper, more solid build will be happy with. :-)
