Mobile Ginn Remaster Ver.

Kit Review

Straight build

The sixth entry in the HG SEED Remaster line is the Mobile GINN — the same release order as the original. Among HG SEED kits, this one sits pretty high up in terms of quality, being a solid, well-constructed example of what a good HG kit should be.

First off, the base gray molded color is ever so slightly brighter than the original — though the difference isn't dramatic enough to notice unless you put the two side by side. The slightly blue-tinted white and orange parts on the body are the same color as the original, so overall the differences look pretty minor. That said, the joints and weapons have been switched to metallic molding, which does give the overall color contrast a nice boost.

A Type B joint part for a display stand is included, which slots into the waist so you can display it cleanly on a stand. The articulation isn't exceptional, but the feel of the joints is nice and the proportions look great, so it actually looks pretty cool when displayed in a mid-air pose.

It still delivers that solid, clean quality you'd expect from a good HG kit, though the limited differences from the original version are a bit of a weak point. That said, with the display stand joint part included and a few detail-up seals thrown in, it does have a bit of that "new release" feel to it — so I'd say it's about 2% better than the original. :-)
