The last entry in the SEED HG Remaster series is the Perfect Strike Gundam. It's a Full Armor form that combines all three of Strike Gundam's Aile, Sword, and Launcher packs, with the added touch of a Launcher magazine pack mounted beneath the Aile pack.
The base body and Aile pack are the same as the existing HG Aile Strike Remaster version, but the center section of the Aile pack has been changed to accommodate the Launcher magazine, and the wings have been scaled up to roughly twice the size in MG style. The wings in particular look drastically different from the original HG version — and honestly, the longer, bigger wings just look so much cooler ^^
The added Launcher pack and Sword pack are made up of a minimal number of parts, but they make good use of plenty of stickers to pull off the basic color scheme pretty well. The connection points where they attach to the Aile pack are nicely designed too, so even with all that weaponry hanging off it, nothing really feels loose or falls apart — which is a relief. That said, the Launcher can be a pain to get into the right grip angle, so it does occasionally pop out while you're wrestling with a pose.
As you can see in the photos above, standing it upright is a bit of a challenge given how loaded up the back is. Even with the legs pushed as far back as possible and leaning forward, it's barely holding its balance — this is really the kind of kit that needs a stand to look its best and stay stable.
That said, thanks to all that rich and flashy weaponry, the various poses on a stand come out looking really dynamic and impressive. The joints are also very solid thanks to the metallic molding, so once you get a pose set, it holds well despite the complex structure. All in all, this is a pretty great-looking kit — a fitting final gift for SEED fans :-)
