This kit is the HG Shin Burning Gundam released as part of the Gundam Build Metaverse series. It's based on the HG Kamiki Burning Gundamfrom the Build Fighters series, with a number of newly sculpted parts added — some of the body armor has been revised, and a new backpack along with various effect parts have been included.

The main body is nearly identical to the HG Kamiki Burning Gundam, as you can see in the comparison photos above. Look closely though, and you'll notice the head antenna has grown to three prongs, the front/rear skirt armor and right shoulder front armor have been redesigned, and a new backpack called the Wing Burning has been added along with four clear cape parts that attach to it. On top of that, various beam effect parts for action poses are also included.

Since the core joint structure is exactly the same as the HG Kamiki Burning Gundam, this kit still delivers excellent articulation and solid joint strength. The unique capes and effect parts open up all kinds of new poses to try. The orange clear effect parts and the blue clear parts on the torso also feature polarized resin, which gives off a subtly shifting iridescent sheen depending on the angle of the light.

That said, the main body isn't all that different from the original kit, so it doesn't feel dramatically new. Still, the new backpack and various effect parts do give it its own identity. Either way, the base kit was already a solid release, so if the style appeals to you, this is definitely an HG worth recommending. :-)
