This kit is the HGUC Shin Matsunaga's Custom Gelgoog J, released as a Club G (Premium Bandai) online exclusive. It's a remolded version of the standard-release HGUC Gelgoog Jwith changed molded colors. There's no new tooling here — it's a 100% color variant kit.

That said, one runner from the standard-release HGUC Gelgoog Marine has been added, bringing two beam sabers and three hands as extra accessories. They're reused parts, sure, but it does give you a few more options than the original kit. Everything else — all the other contents and features — stays the same as before. It's still a kit with excellent articulation and joint strength, so for this review you really just need to check out the updated color scheme and the added accessories.

One more bonus worth mentioning is that Shin Matsunaga's signature wolf emblem seals are included. So while it's a straightforward color variant, the small bonus parts and unique seals do give it a personality of its own. Either way, it's a remarkably well-made kit for something that came out in 2004.
