This kit is the MG Zaku F2 (Kimberlight Base) released as a Club G (Premium Bandai) online exclusive. It's a color variant of the standard release MG Zaku F2 Zeon Forces version / MG Zaku F2 Federation Forces versionwith the molded colors changed. The weapons and accessories from both the Zeon and Federation versions are all bundled together, so it boasts a really generous set of contents.

On top of that, you can choose between light green or desert color for the lower body armor, so combined with all the various accessories, you can recreate all kinds of different Zaku F2 configurations from the Kimberlight Base. Sure, you'll end up with a good amount of leftover parts as a result, but it does come as a full-option Zaku F2 spec. Since it's a straight color variant, all the characteristics are the same as before — still not quite up to Zaku 2.0 level, but it's a big step up from 1.0 in terms of quality. That said, since the original kit came out back in 2002, it does feel a little dated, and it still uses bolt-assembled joints.

Personally, this was my first time building the MG Zaku F2 in a very long time. Compared to the original Zaku, it's impressive how streamlined the parts count is and how solid the overall build feels. Either way, as a full-option MG Zaku F2 kit packed with content, it's a top-notch Zaku kit with a different feel from the Zaku 2.0 — and if you've only ever built the MG Zaku 2.0 series, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a try. :-)
