This kit is the 1/144 HG Durun Type, released as a Premium Bandai online exclusive. HG Xabungle Typeand HG Brockary TypeThis is the third newly tooled HG Xabungle kit to come out after those two — and it's a flying-type Walker Machine with a completely different feel from the previous ones.

Like the previously released HG Brockary Type, this is the first time it's ever been made into a plastic model. It's a kit that never even appeared in the original 1982 Xabungle model kit lineup — quite the unlucky mech. It's finally getting a brand-new tooling 44 years later, and thanks to that, it's been born as a high-quality HG kit. So while the style is old-school, the quality has definitely benefited from modern technology.

Its distinctive body design and long, slender limbs are its defining features, and the excellent articulation makes it easy to pull off all kinds of wild and bizarre poses from the show. Overall joint strength is solid too, so even with those long limbs in aggressive poses, everything holds together nicely. As a bonus, three nicely sculpted small Walker Machines — the Hog Type, Leg Type, and Blanc Type — are also included. The Hog Type and Blanc Type can even seat the same Rag Urar pilot figure as the main unit's cockpit.

So here we have the Durun Type, finally given a clean HG-quality plastic model treatment after 44 years. For longtime Xabungle fans, this is probably an emotional kit — but for most people, the reaction is probably going to be "what even is this?" It's a great quality build, but the design is seriously divisive, so it's hard to give a blanket recommendation.
