Gaza C

Kit Review

Straight build + Panel lining + Stickers

This is the mass production type Gaza C, released alongside Haman's custom unit.
It's structurally 100% identical to Haman's unit — just a color variant. On top of that, it comes with mass production-style seals (the kind that should really be called numbers...;) and
a 1/144-scale stand, released at a price ¥100 higher. Since the basic kit characteristics are naturally identical to Haman's unit, for a more
detailed review of the structure and transformation process, please check out the Gaza C Haman's
Custom Unit Review
for reference.

The only visual difference is the molded color — unlike Haman's unit with its calm, subtle light pink,
the mass production type's coloring is a slightly deeper pink. It's quite a tricky color to work with... for one thing, it's hard to capture accurately on a digital camera, and depending on your perspective,
it can look a bit like a candy toy. In person it doesn't look quite that cheap, but compared to the soft, premium feel of Haman's unit,
this molded color seems like it'll be a love-it-or-hate-it kind of thing.

The included stand isn't the high-mobility(?) type that came with the Asshimar or Gabthley —
it's the plain stand you often see bundled with SEED HG kits. Unlike the high-mobility stand, you can't adjust the angle in multiple directions;
you just plug it in, but in return you can mount two kits on it at once. That's probably why they went with the SEED-style stand instead of an HGUC stand for the mass production type —
so you can display Haman's unit and the mass production type together. Since the SEED stand isn't compatible with HGUC kits,
two adapter pieces are also included so you can connect them.

When you put Haman's unit and the mass production type on this stand together,
the display effect is fantastic! Whether you mix MA and MS modes or keep them the same, it looks really sharp on the shelf. They probably didn't include the stand with both kits on purpose,
putting it only with the mass production type to nudge you into buying both — which, depending on how you look at it, feels like a silent "buy both of them" pressure. But for the collector who was going to buy both anyway,
at least you won't end up with an extra stand lying around, so that's actually a relief. Of course, on the flip side,
if you're only trying to pick one of the two, it does put you in a bit of a tough spot — but hey, that's just how things go ^^;

Either way, whether it's Haman's unit or the mass production type, both are charming, good-looking HGUC kits.
Even though they're the same kit structurally, the molded colors are so different that displaying them together looks great, and the bright coloring even gives off a bit of a spring vibe :-)
