HGUC AMS-119

Geara Doga ~ Rezin Schnyder Color

Kit Review

Straight build
+ panel lining

Following the standard Geara Doga, the Rezin Schnyder Color
Geara Doga has been released as an HGUC. Naturally, it's essentially a molded color variation, and the structural features are identical to the previously released Geara Doga, so for a more detailed
review, please refer to the HGUC Geara Doga review.

Compared to the standard green Geara Doga, Rezin Schnyder's unit is a bluish mobile suit with a slight Titans vibe. Compared to the HGUC standard Geara Doga, there are two parts changes — the rifle has been swapped out for a new design, and the left hand has been changed from a fist to an open hand. So the fist hand is gone entirely, and the runner itself has been replaced with an open hand that wasn't there before. It's a minor change, but it does seem like they made an effort to give it its own identity.

Overall, like the other HGUC Char's Counterattack series kits, this one also shows solid quality and decent proportions — it's a well-made kit. Above all, the blue molded color is really gorgeous. The photos don't quite capture it, but in person the blue molded color has a genuinely premium feel to it.

Anyway, with HGUC running low on source material, this does feel like it was released as a filler color variant... but it's a kit with good enough quality and personality to be worth picking up in its own right. :-)
