Kit Review
Straight build
Pose with Tenkai attached to the soles using the support parts.
The hip joints are too weak to hold up the heavy legs, so a separate stand is needed.

This kit is the Magatsuki released as a Frame Arms Girl Grande Scale. Just like the previous entries, it's an upscaled version of the original Frame Arms Girl Magatsuki. The overall appearance is very similar to the original Frame Arms Girl, but with the larger scale comes added color separation on the shoulders and torso.
Overall, the parts layout gives the feel of an enlarged copy of the original Frame Arms Girl kit, and the bigger parts make for a satisfying build. The basic joint structure is similar to the previous Grande Scale kits, but the added armor has narrowed the leg articulation range. The inclusion of the large swords "Tenkai" and 2 small swords "Satsuga" as weapons is also the same as the original Frame Arms Girl, and the accessory parts are similarly provided as well.
The disappointing part of this kit is the joint strength — it's really not up to the task of supporting the weight of Magatsuki's elaborate armor. T_T The slimmer previous kits were fine enough, but this one in particular feels worryingly fragile. Standing it upright is just about manageable, but any kind of dynamic pose like raising a leg high is completely out of the question — nothing holds. If they were going to make a large kit like this, joint durability should have been the first thing they considered. Makes me wonder if the joints were only ever designed to handle the early releases like Gourai or Stylet.
That said, thanks to all that elaborate armor, it looks great just standing there. At 25cm tall, it really does have a commanding presence. You'll have to give up on dynamic posing, but if display satisfaction from sheer size is what you're after, this is a kit worth recommending. :-)
