Kotobukiya Megalomaria

Nights Superior

Kit Review

Straight build

For the first time in Kotobukiya's Megalomania series, a bike rather than a robot has been released — the "Nights Superior." It was originally Megalomania Gillidoureleased alongside as a bike for her to ride. It also came out at a size that works well with other Megalomania kits.

It's very close in size to the previously released Gigantic Arms Rapid Raider bike kit. The overall parts breakdown feels like it's structured differently though, so the assembly experience has its own distinct feel. That said, it has relatively fewer articulation gimmicks, so outside of the detail and proportions there isn't a whole lot to explore — the footrests and kickstand do move, and the wheels and handlebars do steer, but the wheels and handlebars aren't linked, so you rotate them separately.

And since it's part of the Megalomania lineup, it's sized just right for male-type Megalomania characters. It's a perfect fit with Gillidou and Mephisto size-wise, but standard-sized Megami Device and Frame Arms Girl figures also pair with it pretty nicely.

All in all, it's a great-looking futuristic bike kit — the detail feels a little plain in spots, but the overall sculpt is solid. It seems like it'll have the most appeal for folks collecting girl model kits or Megalomania figures. :-)
