As a color variation of the Muv-Luv Takemikaduchi v1.5, the non-scale Takemikaduchi v1.5 - Tsukuyomi Mana ki has been released. It's a straightforward color variant with just the molded color changed to red, so for the detailed structural features, please refer to the Takemikaduchi v1.5 reviewand in this review you'll just want to check out the change in color.
Coming to v1.5, the joint strength issues that were a letdown in v1.0 have been clearly improved, and a weapon attachment that converts the assault cannon into a support assault cannon has been added — all of which is reproduced here without a single part difference.
Since it's been a while since we've had a simple color variant kit, there's really nothing fresh about it — but on the plus side, the red molded surfaces have a slight gloss injection finish, so once built, it does give off a faint glossy painted look. That said, compared to Bandai's proper gloss injection, the surface sheen falls a bit short, so it's probably best to think of it as just a kit with slightly better-looking molded colors than a standard release.
Anyway, since there's nothing new about this variation, it seems like a pretty average kit best recommended for fans of Mana from the series or those who just love red units. :-)
