This kit is the Green Horn AB, the 58th release in Kotobukiya's Zoids HMM series. It's based on the Red Hornreleased in 2010, with the molded color changed to green and new sculpts added. The head mane, tail, and some of the back weapons have been replaced with newly tooled parts.
The basic frame and gimmicks are the same as the original Red Horn — it still has that narrow articulation and iffy joint strength, so pulling off a wide variety of poses is tough. On the flip side, there are plenty of extendable gimmicks, and when you open them all up you can get some really impressive-looking poses. The AB (Attack Booster) added to the back was also sold separately, and it's packed with various extension and deployment gimmicks. It shares the same concept as the AB that came with the 2009 Blade Liger AB Bang, but it's an entirely new sculpt with a completely different design and set of gimmicks.
So this is a Zoids plastic model that's essentially a color variant with some new sculpts added. The limited range of motion and old-school joints are a bit of a letdown, but it's also the kind of kit that commands attention just sitting on a shelf. Either way, if you're a Zoids fan, just having the Green Horn in plastic model form is probably enough to make you happy — and if you're into this style of Zoid, it's definitely a fun build. :-)
