This kit is the RG G-3 Gundam, released as a Club G (Premium Bandai) online exclusive. It's based on the standard release RG Gundamwith changed molded colors and some newly tooled parts. The round joint covers on the sides of the arms and legs have been replaced with newly sculpted parts finished in a magnetic coating treatment.

Everything else — all the contents and construction — is identical to the original kit, and it still shows off that intricate detail alongside the same weak joint strength. The engineering was sensational for its time, but those loose joints from the early RG days are just something you have to live with. Anyway, for this review, the main things worth paying attention to are the new sculpt, the color changes, and the waterslide decals. As a small bonus, a pilot figure equipped with a jet pack has also been newly added.

All that said, this kit is significant simply for the fact that the G-3 version got the RG treatment. The molded colors are pretty decent, so if you're a fan of the G-3 color scheme, it's definitely worth picking up. :-)
