This kit is the White Glint & V.O.B Set released as part of the Armored Core NEXT series. In terms of contents, it's essentially the White Glint + V.O.B Set ver. Movie Colorreleased in 2010, but with the molded color changed. True to the White Glint name, the outer armor has been changed to pure white, and the special stand from the original Movie Color version is included as well.
The White Glintand V.O.B (Vanguard Overed Boost)released separately in 2009 had a light gray molded color, and the White Glint + V.O.B Set ver. Movie Color bundle released in 2010 came in a pearl molded color. This time around, it's finally been molded in proper pure white — a color that truly lives up to the White Glint name.
Since the overall contents are identical to the previous bundle, all you really need to pay attention to in this review is how the new white molded color looks and feels. The original kit is from 2009, so the snap-fit is a bit weak and there are quite a few parts you'll need to glue down. That said, as long as you secure them with some appropriate glue, the joint strength itself is solid enough that standing and posing shouldn't be a problem. The signature pose in particular holds up great and makes for a very stable display.
It's a straightforward color variant with nothing particularly new to offer, but the real significance here is that we finally have a proper pure white White Glint set. Think of it as a reissue after a long absence, now with a renewed molded color to boot. Either way, it's still an incredibly striking mecha model kit, and for anyone who's been wanting one but couldn't get their hands on it — this should make for a great pickup. :-)
